We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator. This is a Full-Time position offering stability, a benefits package w/ free primary healthcare, excellent training, inspiring management, & a strong team environment. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of machinery & be able to problem-solve, think critically, & succeed in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, candidates will be self-driven, have exceptional attention to detail, & exhibit a willingness to train as a paid apprentice. Regular shift includes four 10-hour days, 5AM- 3:30PM.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
•Machine operator experience (2-4 years preferred)
•Mechanically-inclined •Able to read/interpret blueprints •Able to read/follow work instructions •Basic computer literacy •Basic knowledge of CNC equipment •Work well independently & as part of a team
•Able to read gauges & measurement tools to ensure tolerances
•Able to read measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, caliper, scale)
•Working knowledge of metal materials •Proven attendance record w/ previous employers •Ability to properly & safely operate machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Operate press to make precision bends & punch steel using custom dies
•Set dies in presses precisely according to instructions•Inspect parts using checking devices & fixtures •Read/follow work instructions
•Inspect materials for quality & conformance; correct inconsistencies•Read blueprints •Read measuring devices(i.e.tape measure, protractor, caliper, & scale) •Rotate work stations as production needs require
•Program a press brake - able to program each program step using tonnage mode, angle mode/absolute position. Training provided.
•Lift/move up to 50 lbs. •Able to stand 8-10 hours •Produce materials according to specifications •Maintenance & cleaning of machine & surrounding area
